I’ve seen a lot of wellness trends on TikTok, but this one caught me off guard—an ice gua sha scraper? I’ve used gua sha for sauna detox and lymphatic massage before, but never with ice. So let’s take a look and break this one down. Could the cold actually help with circulation and detox… or is it just a slippery mess?
If you’ve tried this or know more about the benefits of cold scraping, drop it in the comments. I want to hear your take.

I’ve been getting a lot of these videos from health and wellness trends on tick-tock and every single day people comment and ask, I’m not so sure about these. So let’s watch them together and see what we think. Let’s back that up because she seems to have quite the face there.
Oh, she likes this. Hey, all right. Um, I don’t know if this is or not. I have Guasha scrapers for detoxification protocols for use in sauna.
They’ve been used forever and ever to clean the skin and to do lymphatic massage and to push lymphatic fluid from stagnant areas. Um, I’ve never personally tried an ice, uh, Guasha scraper. Uh, I don’t know what to think about that. There could be something cool that happens with the cooling effect of the skin and increasing blood flow to the area or kind of like a push pull contrast in that way.
But I have a little bit of hesitation to thinking that the ice can maintain an actual shape that’s good for, cause if you, if you notice most Guasha scrapers, our have a curvature that you can use to dig in and push, but doesn’t actually cut you. And it’s either a stone, a wood or some type of poly material that holds that shape.
I’m imagining that if you tried to do ice Guasha on the rest of your body and maybe it’s gentle on the face, but I don’t know if most of the stuff we do is combined with detox and sauna therapy. I don’t know if I would try this in a sauna.
The other thing that I noticed is that this makes a hell of a mess. So I could just see my, I could see me scraping my shoulders down with an ice Guasha and maybe this is just for the.
I don’t know. What do you think? Let me know in the comments. You might know better than I do.
