Has anyone reviewed a NuCalm meditation device or used for relaxation or sleep enhancement and recovery? I had a call with a reader yesterday, who was telling me about using it for overall health improvements… curious to see if any of you guys have used it compared to the meditation devices I have on the table?

How’s it going guys?

So I want to ask you, I want to see if you guys have any experience with a new meditation device or, of course as soon as I turn on the camera they start with the chainsaw outside.

Anyway, I had a really good call with a reader yesterday.

I really love connecting with you guys sometimes if all the stars are in alignment, sometimes really cool things can happen.

Anyway, I had a really great call with a reader yesterday and they were asking me about a device called a NuCalm meditation device.

It’s N-U-C-A-L-M.

And so I’ve heard about this thing before but one thing I’ve never showed you guys is how many different meditation devices and all kinds of weird funky stuff that I’ve been into over the years that I have on hand.

And so I knew about the NuCalm quite a while ago.

I didn’t really give much merit to it because from what I could tell it was CES therapy or binaural beat therapy combined with, you know, when I just glanced at it, it looked like a light and sound machine to me basically.

And so, you know, I’ve got a combination of all kinds of different stuff that I’m going to show you really quick to see if you guys have a NuCalm or have ever used one.

Apparently, they have them at dentist offices.

It allows people to relax.

Also, it allows you to catch up on sleep or go into a deep healing state so you can get like, you know, a complete rejuvenation cycle in about 20 minutes they claim.

The thing that stops me from buying one is that it’s $5,000.

And so I want to show you what I have on hand, what I have experience with and then I was wondering if maybe somebody out there that’s used one can kind of tell me what you think compared to, you know, the stuff that I have.

So a lot of different devices here.

I’ve got things that you’ve probably never heard of before.

One of my favorite things is the brain tuner.

This is from Soda Instruments.

I call it a brain tuner.

They can’t say brain tuner.

They call it a bio tuner.

But basically, this is human resonance frequency right into the key areas like so.

So essentially, every night, this is a human resonance generator directly into the body.

It does a couple of other things.

There’s different modes, different frequencies, things like that.

Some people call it a meditation device.

Some people call it a, you know, rejuvenation device.

Some people say that you can get off drugs with this or you can break addiction habits or other people say that you can get rid of anxiety and depression.

If you look up the clinical research on CES devices, which is what this is, it’s just not marketed as a CES device.

You can clearly tell there’s a myriad of benefits that people all around the world are receiving.

So that’s one of my favorite things.

I’ve had that for about 10 years or more probably.

There’s a couple of different variations of this.

I think this is a BT7.

They’re up to a BT9 these days.

But really great device.

If you’ve never had lucid dreaming experiences before, using this for the first week or so, if you’ve never had it in your life, will produce some really cool, crazy dreams, really intense.

It can definitely cause adjustments in your sleep patterns.

It’s really cool though.

So the next thing that I have, I’ve had that for a long time.

I’ve had a Neurophone for a year or two.

Most people don’t know what a Neurophone is.

This is made by Patrick Flanagan.

And so essentially there are these transducers here that go on the forehead and you can play built-in frequencies with this.

You could also have an external input if you wanted to, shall we say, make an imprint of some particular subliminal messages or things like that.

These things do not work off of traditional hearing.

So this goes straight in just from skin-to-skin contact.

You can actually hear and make out words and all kinds of other things.

So you’d want to be really careful if you’ve never heard of this before.

You don’t want to just play like a hypnosis track or somebody’s subliminal messages through this because it’s going to go right in.

And it’s going to basically bypass everything in a sense.

Anyway, that’s the way it’s designed.

So this is a rather interesting device.

I don’t use this all the time.

I kind of go through phases where I use this.

If you guys out there, if you know about this or you have one of these, you’ll know what I’m talking about.

Basically, one of the most interesting things that I’ve gotten this year, or maybe it was last year, is a Uriel Tones.

I think this has been rebranded to a Huso.

But this is the closest thing to some of the modern meditation machines that are coming out that I’ve seen.

So essentially what this is and the intention of these devices is that all the meditation tracks and the healing frequencies and all this stuff, I mean there’s a reason why I buy all this stuff.

I’ve got my neural beats.

There’s a whole shelf of this stuff in the other room.

But the Monroe Institute people, they have all kinds of stuff.

Stephen Halpern has his own frequencies and things that he likes.

I like these personally.

This one is really good.

Dr.

Jeffrey Thompson.

He also sells a sound chair that’s like $4,000.

I don’t have that, but I do listen to his tracks.

John Kabat-Zinn, the famous meditation guy.

And then of course we’ve got the whole tone stuff, which are specific frequencies.

The reason I’m telling you this is I have physical CD copies of some of these and it goes along with what these guys claim.

Or I should say the Huso, if I’m saying it right.

H-U-S-O, if you can see that.

Get out of there.

Yeah.

H-U-S-O.

So it’s the Uriel Tones was rebranded to Huso, so it’s something shorter, easier to remember.

Now I don’t have as much experience with this, but essentially this has the tracks pre-recorded and stored on it.

So when you buy meditation tracks on the iPhone or you download an MP3 or you listen to them on YouTube, there are some companies or people out there, scientists, claim that part of the wavelength, a critical part, can potentially be lost.

So you’re not actually getting the benefit of that frequency range to its full potential.

I don’t know if this is true or not.

I’ve tried both.

My gut feeling or my gut opinion is that the act of is the most important critical part.

So if you’re taking time out of your day to do a meditation or to do a relaxation track or to do a nap track or anything like that, because I use all of those things.

If you’re taking the time out of your day to do that, you’re having a controlled breathing session, you’re trying to shut the monkey mind down, you’re allowing space or creating space for that to take place, that’s number one.

So whether it’s a great track, a shitty track, a whatever track, just the act of I think is the most important thing.

Now, I’ve had good sessions with MP3s and I’ve had good sessions with CDs.

Something intuitively tells me that there might be a slight edge to a digitally recorded track that doesn’t have any signal loss and you’re playing it back on a device that it was either stored directly on and it’s not been downloaded or passed around or clipped or anything like that or compressed and then re-unpackaged or CDs.

And so I do believe there is some merit to companies that are selling frequency-based meditation devices like the HUSO or Uraltones that store it in the device.

Now, the way that this particular one works, we’re hitting on a couple different things here.

So we’ve got audio, right?

And this is synced up perfectly.

And then we have these pulse generators, I shouldn’t say pulse generators.

Basically, we have many transducers or speakers inside here.

And so this goes on the wrist, right?

And it’s synced up with the audio of the ears.

And so essentially what they’re doing is they are creating a pulse relaxation track that is slowly changing and your body will follow suit.

And so instead of just listening to it like you would on a meditation CD, I’m probably talking like a weirdo because I can’t hear myself with those things on.

You’re also getting some kinesthetic through this because the transducers are right on your skin.

And so you’re going to get the central nervous system or the nervous system to respond in general more so than just auditory.

For some people, and it also depends on you, you know, how sensitive you are to certain things, different stuff like that.

The point of me showing this to you is that when I look at, this is under $1,000.

When I look at, way under I think, I can’t remember how much I paid for it.

I think it was like $500.

But then after they changed the name, they also came out with better stuff, you know, that isn’t a jumbled mess.

And they sent me some different attachments and all this stuff.

When I look at something like the NuCalm, right, it’s $5,000.

So I could buy a lot of these things, and there’s probably a couple things that I haven’t even mentioned, like the interbalance.

Or I might even have stuff in the other room in my meditation chair, my relaxation station is what I call it, that I forgot to even bring out here.

But $5,000 is a lot of money.

You know, I could pretty much buy everything on this table for $5,000.

So what I would like to hear from, I know this is long-winded, but what I would like to hear from you guys is, has anybody used a NuCalm?

Do you know anyone that has used it?

The reader that I was talking to recently said that the creator or someone was on the Ben Greenfield podcast, or there was someone else on YouTube that was talking about it and everything else.

But I want to hear from you guys.

Does anybody have any real-world experience with this thing?

Is it really going to replace, you know, a CES device?

I also thought about ordering the Fisher-Wallace to see if it was any different than a BioTuner.

However, I think the main difference would be the ability to change placement of the pads.

So if you’re using a CES device or trying to use it as a healing device or a meditative device, you might experience a difference between under the ear or the ear clips, like on a BT9, compared to the pads on the temples or other places.

Now I have heard, because I have other soda instruments devices, I just don’t have them out here because they’re not meditative.

So I have the blood zapper, I’ve got the pulser, the magnetic pulser.

I think I have everything that soda makes, actually.

But I have heard of people modifying the plug or modifying the actual electrodes and using pads on a blood zapper.

I don’t know if that’s something that you can do on the Brain Tuner and then also move them around or target different areas with human residents.

I think that would be an interesting case study because I hurt my knee last year and it’s been giving me some trouble again lately.

Nothing like it was.

But I’d be interested to see if perhaps I could take the same principles with the same device or machine and apply it to that.

See if we could get some healing benefit.

But anyway, we’re getting off track.

Mostly this is just about meditative devices.

Have you guys used any of this stuff?

Has anybody tried a NuCalm?

Have you been to a dentist and you have dental anxiety or you freak out and the things really help you relax?

Or have you used it?

Do you travel a lot and you’ve used it to catch up on sleep or eliminate jet lag or anything of that nature?

If you have, please comment down below and let me know.

I’m very curious to chat with you, see if it’s worth me purchasing.

If there’s interest out there, I can buy a NuCalm just to review it for you guys if there’s a lot of potential there.

But it sounds like, from what I gather, I’m having a hard time bridging the gap between all these different devices.

The light and sound machines, the CES devices, meditation tracks, different types of things that are borderline bone conduction, and something like the NuCalm.

So any advice that you guys have out there or any feedback, anything that you’d like to see in addition to this, or if you want me to make a specific…

I don’t really talk about these too much because some of it’s kind of woo-woo and that’s not a good fit for everybody.

Some people are like, “Oh my god, what is this guy talking about?

Seriously, we’re going to inject a pre-recorded message directly into the brain or the unconscious and bypass the ears?”

Yes.

Yes, we are.

Anyway, if you guys want further videos about any of this stuff, let me know.

Let me know what you think of all this.

I kind of want to gauge the pulse on you guys and see if you’re even interested in some of these meditative or healing devices.

It might be a perfect addition to the sauna stuff or other healing modalities. healing modalities.

So have a great day.

We’ll see you tomorrow’s video.
