Dynamic Saunas claims their new models are “low EMF” or even “near zero,” but is that actually true? In this video, I explain why I’m skeptical, what my past testing has shown, and why I don’t just take marketing claims at face value.
I’ll cover what has (and hasn’t) changed, what to watch for in EMF and electric fields, and why transparency matters. Until I can personally test one of their so-called updated models, I remain cautious about the claims.

What’s happening guys, welcome to today’s infrared sauna question of the day. Today’s question is for Andrew, or comes from Andrew I should say. It’s on Dynamic Saunas new low EMF panels. It says, I contacted Dynamic Saunas after watching your videos on their product.
They said you were using their old saunas and that their new products that are all either low EMF, ultra low EMF, or near zero. This stuff is in quotes. They also stated that there have been some personal reasons you gave them, or there may have been some personal reasons that you gave them a negative review.
Do you think that they may have changed their products since you reviewed them? Look forward to hearing your response. Thanks for all the videos. I’m not really sure Andrew, I mean how would I know unless I had one.
But this is coming up quite a bit lately. I guess Costco, couple Amazon questions. Apparently there’s new ultra low, they call it ultra low EMF saunas. I’m not really sure man.
I’m going to have to order one to try it because they said I was using their old saunas and the new products are only low. That may be true. I mean it said it was low EMF on it when I bought it. You can go through the blog and see the old reviews and check out the screen shots of the product listing that show my actual purchase date and stuff like that.
We’re talking about stuff that was three years ago. So have they updated them? I don’t know. The last time somebody said that they were updated I hopped in one and it was exactly the same.
My reluctance to believe that or to jump on it, or as you would say, is it said it was low EMF when I bought it the first time. So I kind of watch other people’s Facebook posts or YouTube posts from time to time or just check in with the Amazon reviews that have pictures or things that people post online.
I have never seen one to date that shows that they have been changed into an ultra low EMF sauna. But that doesn’t mean that they couldn’t have updated it.
The answer is, I don’t know. I’ll have to either find one, which is kind of impossible. Most commercial spa places don’t buy dynamic saunas for their commercial applications. They get something like a Sunlighten or a Clearlight or something like that, usually.
But if there is, let’s see, what could I do that wouldn’t cost me a bunch of money? I could order one from Costco again, I guess. I don’t know if they would let me take it back or return it if it sucks, but it’s a lot of work just to purchase one, set it up, and just hoping that it’s gonna be improved over the other one.
And in this particular case, a lot of times these sauna companies that I’ve purchased before, like back in 2017, and it didn’t go well, they don’t like it that I have not-so-positive reviews, so they’re not so apt to send me a sauna free of charge in order to test.
And usually that’s a red flag to me right there, because if they had improved it and it was so great, wouldn’t they be doing anything that they possibly could to get it in my hands again? Right, like think about it. But that’s not the case. Usually they wanna keep me away from their stuff, or all they care about is doing damage control on prior reviews that aren’t positive or anything that makes them look less than stellar.
Even though the product was falsely advertised in the past. It specifically said in the listing, you can see it in my screenshots for my purchase orders, both from Amazon and from, where’s that place that I bought the other one? I forget the brands, because there’s so many brands now.
There’s like Maxis, Dynamic, I think even Celebration Sauna, all this stuff is Golden Designs. It even says it right on the website. So it’s all the same saunas, it’s just different models. There’s some manufacturing differences and things like that.
The thing that was common between them is that most of the heaters were the same. So if the heaters have indeed been up.
Maybe it is better, I have no idea. The only way that I could really know is to get inside one myself and test it exactly how I tested the other one because you can’t like, even some of this stuff that I see online where other people are testing or commenting or talking about what they think of Asana or checking the VOCs or checking EMF and things like that.
If you’re not doing it in the same sequence or the exact same manner every time, that’s, you kind of get an idea but it might not be an exact A to B comparison. So I can look at ordering one. There’s been, you’re not the only person, Andrew, to ask about this.
So maybe they have updated it. Maybe it is worthwhile. Let me look into it and see what it will really cost. I mean, I think the cheapest thing is like 1,000 bucks.
So at minimum, it’s probably gonna cost me 1,000 bucks plus, you know, whatever time it takes to receive a pallet shipment and set it up. I probably won’t, I’m hesitant. You can tell that I’m hesitant because I’ve had multiple bad experiences with Golden Design Asanas in the past. They have never mitigated electric fields in any of them.
So just because it says EMF, like low EMF, what does EMF stand for? It’s more than one thing. They wouldn’t be called electromagnetic fields if it was just magnetic fields, right? So a lot of people aren’t taking into account the electric fields.
I do that on the certified sauna list. Part of my hesitation is, even if they have lowered the magnetic fields since they were advertising a low EMF sauna in the past, is it gonna be one of these cases where they’ve lowered the magnetic and still haven’t done anything about the electric?
So then you have a high body voltage sauna. I’m not sure. It’s not really that big of a deal. To me, whether they have or they haven’t, I’m just thinking about how much work it is to receive a pallet shipment, set this sauna up, and then potentially not have it go well.
So maybe.
I could make space in the garage so I don’t have to disrupt my room up here because it’s a lot of work to bring a sauna up if it’s not going to do well. Same thing just happened with this. See the sauna behind me that the shirts are hanging on?
That’s a Healthmate. I didn’t know it was a Healthmate that had older heaters in it. I purchased that from a couple because people kept asking about them and somebody told me that they had been updated and blah blah blah. Well silly me, I thought that the heaters had always been the same.
They’re ceramic heaters. It tests awful. It’s like the second worst sauna that I’ve ever tested. I don’t know what year it is.
I thought it was a 2018 but I guess it’s a 2016 or a 2014 before they’ve done an update. What I’m getting at is a complete waste of time. I drove three hours round trip to get that, hour and a half there, hour and a half back, and then I had to drag it upstairs and do the test and everything else.
Great looking sauna. I like the ergonomic bench. There’s some stuff about it. It’s very easy to put together.
It’s pretty cool. But now it’s kind of like a paperweight in this room. It’s in the way. Really the only purpose of having it in here is to show people what not to buy.
That doesn’t go over well either because companies hate it when you do that and they try to say that you’re, oh you’re robbing Peter to pay Paul type of thing. You’re just using us as a bad example so that you can shuffle people over to something else that you like or that you, whatever, something that you recommend.
Which isn’t really the case. If they would put out a product that was in alignment with what they advertise and it wasn’t false advertising, none of that stuff would even be happening. So I think, but they don’t care. All they care about is the numbers and the money, right?
So keep selling people stuff as long as nobody checks it, as long as they can maintain their reputation online, who cares? People keep buying it on Amazon. They keep giving full five stars. I’m not talking about Health Mate anymore.
I’m talking about some of the Dynamic Saunas, some of the J&H stuff. As long as people keep buying it, parting with their hard earned money and giving them five star reviews on Amazon, who gives a shit, right? Says Low EMF, it’s not.
Nobody cares. It’s, you know, it’s deceptive as hell. And so that’s my, I mean, I’m starting to get irritated now just thinking about it because I’ve done this so many times. And I think it’s just that reputation and those repeated experiences, you know, that really just rubbed me the wrong way.
But I don’t know, let me look into it. Let me see if I can get my hands on one. It’ll be, who knows? Maybe they have actually, you know, paid attention a little bit last couple of years.
Maybe they have, because it’s not that difficult to mitigate this stuff. All you have to do is change like three things in your manufacturing assembly line. You can shield heaters, you can shield the wiring. You can also shield, a lot of saunas have a problematic area where the wire connects to the heater on the back.
There’s like a terminal connection there. And most of the time the excess wire is either folded over, coiled over or something like that. And they can’t get the magnetic fields out of that termination. You can actually shield that little spot.
It’s not that difficult. And it doesn’t take that much effort and it’s very, very, very inexpensive to do. The other thing is when the sauna courses come out, which is gonna be very soon, I’ve been working on them. It only takes five minutes to test a sauna for EMF.
So any of these companies that are feeding you guys a bunch of lines about, oh, you know, we’ll have to have our engineer get back to you or something like that. Come on, man. I’m gonna show you guys how you can test any sauna on the market. And so what I’m getting at is, it’s so easy to check for this stuff.
If a company is not showing it to you or not doing it, why do you think that is? Why, if it only takes five minutes and it’s only a couple hundred dollars and it could alleviate so much frustration with their sales staff answering these same questions and doing comparisons and having to fight with other sauna companies, cause that’s what all this is about, right?
Like it’s the sauna, it doesn’t serve us customers. It’s the sauna companies butting heads trying to one-up each.
so that they can, you know, sell more saunas or have more market share in the market. That’s all it is. It’s like a corporate, you know, dog fight. It’s ridiculous.
So if it’s so simple to check for this stuff, like there’s nothing special about what I do. Any company can do this. Any company can like, it only takes a few minutes. So why wouldn’t they?
I’ll leave that with you as food for thought instead of, you know, saying what I normally say. But let me look into it. We’ll see what I can do. Hope you guys are doing well.
See you tomorrow’s video.
