Everyone keeps asking what to buy under two grand, and after testing more than 40 saunas over the last seven years, the answer is finally clear. Folks want low EMF, zero VOC, solid heater layout, good build quality, and a real sweat for under $2,000. The reality is the perfect under-$2K wooden sauna doesn’t exist, so you’re always going to compromise somewhere. That doesn’t mean you can’t get something that actually works.
In this video we break down the two real contenders in this price range: the Costco Dynamic sauna and the LifePro RejuvaCure. I’ve used both of these in real sessions, side by side, not just online research. The differences show up fast—heat coverage, heater layout, sweat quality, and whether you actually walk out feeling like you had a sauna session. One of them consistently delivers. The other makes you wonder where the session went.
If you’re trying to get into heat therapy without dropping five to seven grand, this will give you a clear, honest direction so you don’t waste time, money, or your health progress.

Matt, we tried to make a sauna with all this stuff under 2k and we just can’t. It costs too much. So I finally realized we’re searching for something that doesn’t exist. Before you buy the Costco sauna, you might want to check out these videos. Hi, I’m Matt. Tested over 40 saunas in the last seven years. And one of the most difficult things in our 35,000 group member community is what the heck to buy under $2,000. Why? Because every single thing under $2,000 comes with some type of compromise. People want some type of low EMF thing. Can’t get it. People want some type of zeros VOC, no glue thing. Can’t get it. People want optimal heater layout that doesn’t leave your bottom half or your feet cold and dry. Can’t get it. So where do you want to compromise? What should you prioritize? Let’s get into the details so that you can actually get a good heat therapy session for under two grand.
It doesn’t matter if it’s on YouTube. Doesn’t matter if we put videos on Instagram, doesn’t matter where we’re at. We will always get the debate of what do I buy under $2,000? Because like you said earlier, there’s going to be some compromises, but I think we can squash this today. I think we can get a clear answer on what is the best sauna you can buy for under two grand. The two main competitors are the Costco dynamic sauna and the life pro rejuvecure. Those are in my mind, if you’re getting a wooden sauna, or you’re getting like a legit, like actual sauna, that’s not portable. Those are the two like top competitors for this price category. What do you think?
Yeah, we’ve got some obscure ones on Amazon. Uh, one of the mini saunas, I have it right back there. We just can’t, I don’t know, man, we can’t make hazard tails of what the brand is. It’s like some no name brand. We tried to call to see if, you know, people would get support if they needed help. The thing was like 1200 bucks. At the end of the day, why wouldn’t you spend $400 more with this thing on sale and get one of those? We know where it comes from. We can talk to the people. It’s a lot bigger. You can stand up in the damn thing. I don’t have to crouch and turn sideways to get in great, similar, you know, sweat experience still plugs into a regular outlet.
I’m having a hard time with some of the, the Wayfair, Amazon, all this stuff, because the more we look into it, the more we realize it’s just like a phantom made up brand from China, and that’s probably why we can’t pronounce it when it, when a thing comes in and the label says like D D D C T L S S or whatever. Somebody says, what’s that brand? I’m like, good luck. I don’t know. So struggling with that. So yeah, I think, you know, obviously Costco is reliable to take anything back, so people like that just bad heater layout and a lot of the saunas. I, we, we’ve done videos on this in the past. It looks like different dynamic saunas are available in different parts of the country. Some Costco models have heaters in the floor. Some of them have heaters all the way down to the floor on the sidewalls, which is what we griped about. Cause my, I wasn’t getting a good sweat. It was cold on the lower half. So heater layout sucked on that. And then we tried the life pro and it’s like, well, the build quality is not amazing. Um, but it’s not any worse.
And then we keep thinking that there’s some phantom under $2,000 brand or something that we haven’t tried. And it’s just not out there. Everything, every single thing that we try, you know, has a compromise built in. So yeah, I think it’s down to the Costco and the life pro and the life, the life pro just annihilates it on performance. And that mini one you were talking about, there’s a Wayfair one, but there’s also, uh, this is, I just thought of this cause you said mini, um, there’s that, uh, what is it called the cozy, right? The mini from life life pro that’s also that’s under two grand, right? It is. I’m just, I’m struggling to evaluate it because it’s two inches narrower than both of them are right back there. I mean, they’re literally in this frame. This is not a green screen. I have all this equipment. The it’s a green screen. It’s fake guys. Yeah. Till I opened the door on one. You see the reflection in the glass? Um, some of this is, is me like I’m the problem. I just don’t fit in the, some of this stuff very well. It’s kind of like the sauna blankets. Some people love them. I absolutely hate them. I think the idea of it is terrible. And some of these mini saunas, they’re like, I, I swear they’re an inch and a half to two inches narrower than another one that I fit in just fine. I can’t get in and out of it. I’m just, I’m, I’m like this, you know, just trying to like squeeze in the damn thing. It’s hard for me to get sessions in and really evaluate how something works when I can’t like sit in it.
Let’s just talk about it so that people can watch this and then make their decision very quickly. Um, let’s talk about just the major differences between the two and why you’ll choose one over the other. Every single time you tested them relatively close together within the same year and you’ve tested them almost side by side, right? Oh yeah. I mean, I have all this equipment. It’s not like we’re not making videos, pulling up a customer or a company website, just telling you what we think based on the pictures. I use these things in person for real. When you use the Costco one, you used it. I liked it cause you used it a few times. Like you, you implemented it into your sauna, uh, you know, sweating schedule for like a week or two at the end of that, at the end of using it. Um, what was your, what was your feeling about it? What did you think?
It left me wondering where my sauna session was. You know, I could say a lot of things that I didn’t like about, uh, the build quality, the paper thin walls, the, this, that, and the other. I think some of that was skewed because we had just tested the heavenly heat eco mini, which is like a tank compared to that thing. Yeah. I mean, we do our best to not be biased. Right. But I don’t know how you want me to be not be biased towards something that’s just destroys another comparison in terms of build quality. So if, if I had to bet money on one that was going to last 20 years, it certainly wouldn’t be the Costco. We’ll just put it that way. When you’re buying a sauna or two grand, that is probably one of your first saunas. And while I think with the life pro, um, maybe the build quality is, I think the build quality matches around that of a Costco, maybe a little bit nicer on their newer ones that they just put out, but, um, around the same build quality, I think either of those are going to be your entry level saunas. And I think that’s going to get people into saunas, doing heat therapy, getting to feel better.
And then at a certain point, everybody ends up upgrading to one of those very reputable brands that, um, everyone knows and loves. So if someone started with a life pro, they’re probably going to upgrade to a radiant health or a heavenly heat or a clear light or something like that at some point. But for right now, what I will say is that it seems between the life pro and the Costco, the heater layout and the heat quality of the life pro is just what really stands out. So did you notice the same thing? Like when you use that, you use the Costco one, you tried it out when you use the life pro and you did the same thing, what was your, what was your initial, you know, reaction to that? Man, the proof was in the pudding on that one. When I use the life pro, it was in a 65 degree room. When I use the Costco, it was so hot outside in Florida. The AC was running nonstop. It had every advantage possible in a 78 degree room to outperform the other. And the lack of sweat was just immediately apparent. You know, I don’t usually get out of saunas with cold, dry feet. I don’t usually get out of, I don’t usually experience a sauna session with my bottom half, not sweating. And that was my experience with the Costco one person. Or is it one to two person? I don’t know. We talked about the size too. There there’s no way in hell you’re getting two people. I started checking it with a flare gun because I was like, how come the sauna session was so much better? You know, when we first got them, I was like, well, it does have a better heater layout, but let’s look at the actual heat output. What’s really happening in this thing. And at the end of the day, the heater layout, regardless of temperature, regardless of build quality, regardless of EMF, regardless of all this other stuff. Right? Like I want all those things to be in line, but they’re not in line for every single brand under $2,000. And one of the most honest things, one of the sauna company owners told me once was Matt, we tried to make, you know, a sauna with all this stuff under two K and we just can’t. Right. That it costs too much. So I finally realized we’re searching for something that doesn’t exist. So once you realize that you’re going to compromise a little, uh, regardless of product offerings, uh, that are available to you, it makes sense to go after, you know, the best sweat for the money and that’s what the life pro is.
People are, are messaging about these random sauna brands. They’re like just some rebranded Amazon brand. And they’re asking about them wanting to find this, like you said, this phantom brand that just doesn’t exist, that has everything that they want. And I just, I want to say it just bluntly. That is the life bro. That’s what you’re looking, what you’re looking for is a good sauna that actually does what it’s supposed to do. And maybe it doesn’t have all those things that you want it. Maybe it doesn’t have the greatest lights or speakers or whatever, but it actually gets a sweat going and you actually leave like, Holy crap. That thing heats up. And so I think for anybody out there that’s like, man, but I’d like this thing or that thing. I’m like, why are you getting a sauna? If you’re, if you’re getting a sauna to have the coolest looking sauna or have speakers or whatever, go buy speakers for your house, but if you want it to actually work in my mind, this is under two grand, this is the best sauna that you could get. But I want to, I do want your opinion on that because at the end of the day, you’re the one that actually sweated through
I just, you know, I record the test results. I watch it happen. So it’s, it’s a little bit different perspective using them and seeing them in the store and thinking that it’s a deal is, is very different than, you know, being able to test stuff side by side or have access to multiple, you know, brands of equipment.
And I get the argument, you know, we’ve got diehard Costco, you know, fans. I’m a Costco member too. I like Costco. I don’t particularly like those saunas because they just don’t work that well. You may love a Costco offering seems great. Right. But I also noticed that the product offerings in different parts of the country aren’t the same.
We covered this in other videos. People showing me pictures in my Facebook group of a different dynamic sauna that they got from Costco. That’s not like mine does have heaters in the floor. So I’d pay attention to all that stuff. When we click on that link and we try to order it in our store, it just comes up with not available in your area. I don’t know what you guys, I don’t know what people want me to do with that. There’s not a whole lot that I can do. I don’t, I don’t have anything to do with how they select what they offer.
All I can tell you is I’ve had two of them and both of them kind of left me lacking the first one from years ago, that was only a thousand dollars was actually much better than this, this recent one. So, but also other saunas that are a little more premium in nature in the industry have gotten better in the last five years. So it’s, it’s furthering the gap.
But people just walk through the store and they see the thing for 1799 and they, Oh, it looks like a great deal. This looks nice, but they’re not, if they, if they never used anything else, they’re not going to know what they’re missing. So I’ve tried a lot of stuff. I know exactly what’s missing. The second I got out of it, the difference between a 1500, they’re both under two grand, but the $1,500 sauna or the $1,900 sauna to someone that that’s their budget. That’s a big gap. That’s like, that’s almost a fourth of their budget that you’re, you know, you’re varying between.
So for both of those, what is the general pricing like right now? Does the Costco one have a black Friday sale at all? I’m not really sure, man. I don’t really, I don’t track stuff that I don’t like. So, uh, I could show you a receipt for what we paid for it, but I think the life bro with discount code sauna 20, which is their max discount, I believe it brings the life pro to 1631 or 1650 or something like that. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Costco that low dude, that’s, that’s $200 cheaper than the Costco.
Well, forget about the 200 bucks. It just works better. It looks better, works better. Everything’s better. It’s right there. Like I have this stuff. We’ll have the Costco too. If price were aside, no matter what, even if the life pro were more expensive by $200 or $400 for that matter, you’d still choose the life pro over the Costco.
I’m setting the Costco on fire because it’s wasting my time. I can’t get, this is not a funny thing. I cannot get a good sauna session in that Costco model. I don’t think people get it. I don’t care about the money set thing on fire for all I give a, I will not waste four hours a week of my life, not getting the health benefits sitting in some subpar hotbox. That’s what I care about. First and foremost, you’re wasting your longevity benefits.
People think it’s about arguing brand and this and that you’re not even getting a baseline sauna session. You are wasting your time. Literally. I’m not really interested in doing that. I only do all this so that I get the personal gain out of everything.
What do you think the biggest benefit of me testing all these products is think about it from a selfish standpoint, I get to get the best equipment that I think is the best for me and can offer me the biggest benefit for the rest of my life by continuing to do this. I don’t think people think about that. They just think about, you know, social media and brand and money and all this, but none of that means anything if you’re not living a good life.
Ask me how I know, right? Five days a week in the hospital for almost a year. You really think that I give a about $400 compared to like maybe living an extra four years or having better health over the next 40 years. Got to use your head sometimes.
And I think not everyone is, well, don’t worry about the, uh, the Costco heat coverage. I think, uh, a small campfire inside will really ramp up that heat up time. That might be the closer for the video.
