Best Cheap Portable Sauna: Durherm Low EMF Portable Sauna

Matt Avatar

This cheap portable sauna I bought on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2H2n67l

It’s not a super low emf portable sauna, but it’s lower than a lot of them on the market. If you’re working with a super small space in an apartment, or have a tight budget, this is probably the best low(er) emf portable sauna you can get.

For $500 bucks, it will hold a lot of people over for a year or two until they can save for a bigger low emf wooden infrared sauna. Anything that gets you sweating will be helpful to your health and detox!

To my sauna followers, this is NOT a Certified Sauna. However there are plenty of people that that won’t work for, and just need a small cheap portable sauna to get them by. This does not match the emf standards to be a Certified Sauna in any way, but still may be the right solution for people in a studio apartment, or those working with an ultra low budget.

Alright, so today I’m going to review another portable sauna.

I’m excited about this because I upgraded.

If you saw my last review on the Durharm or Blue Wave portable infrared sauna from Amazon, it was about $200 or so dollars and it tested really, really high for EMFs.

So I thought, you know what, maybe I was just being cheap and I should buy the cheapest one.

So, got rid of that guy and then ordered this.

This is a Radiant Saunas.

I’m hoping this is going to be a lot better.

This is a Radiant Saunas.

It costs about $500 or $600 and it’s supposed to be low EMF.

So I’m really excited about this.

I think it will be a lot better than the other one that I tested.

They have better reviews.

They seem more trustworthy.

It seems heavier.

I don’t know if weight is indicative of build quality or not.

But really, I just want to make sure that I’m not getting zapped and I want a low EMF sauna solution so that I can do the niacin detox and take the sauna with me wherever I go.

Usually, most people don’t worry too much about EMFs if they’re only going to be exposed to them temporarily, like a microwave or something like that.

But if you’re going to use a sauna for detox like I am and do the niacin detox to get rid of heavy metals, you don’t want to be bathing in a 150 or 100 mG environment.

The Swedish safety standard is 2 mG.

The bad American standard is like 40 mG.

So anything that’s going to be over those is obviously not good.

Not good at all.

Let’s see.

This side up it says.

So this looks fairly simple.

I like this.

It feels good.

It feels like it’s better quality than the other one that I got.

Sorry, I’m trying to make it so that you guys can see but I don’t know if that’s possible with the way that these things are made.

I wish people would do more review videos so that, you know, I buy so many things on Amazon and sometimes they’re either not like the description or they don’t work out or whatever.

And I wish people would do more reviews.

It would save me a lot of hassle and time to be able to buy the right stuff.

Alright, cool.

So the first thing, so this has two heating out, two heaters in the back instead of the one.

I don’t know if you guys can see that.

I’m going to take the tripod or the camera off the tripod in a minute and get it close so you guys can see.

But the first thing that I’m going to do, I just want to make sure that this sauna is safe.

Let me get it plugged in.

I looked online to see on YouTube to see if anyone did an EMF test of this particular model.

It’s the more expensive one.

It’s the Radiant Saunas.

Actually, I’m sorry.

This is a Durharm.

Shit.

The other, I mixed them up.

This is a Durharm.

Okay, so 150 degrees.

It says Durharm right on it.

Whoops, sorry about that.

This is a Radiant.

God damn it.

Ah, fuck it.

I can just go with it.

Okay so in today’s EMF review of the Durharm sauna, we’ve got her going.

We’re going to test her out.

That’s starting to heat up.

Okay we’ll let her run for a second.

Let it start getting hot.

This particular, I don’t know how I mixed up the packing slips on that.

I haven’t sent the other box back before I ordered this one.

So this is a Durharm extra large negative ion FIR infrared portable sauna with chair foot pad.

So this is the Durharm model.

The other one that I tested was the Radiant saunas, which I thought the Radiant saunas was the more expensive one, but apparently not.

It’s starting to get hot now.

Let’s see if we get any EMFs in here.

It’s actually surprisingly low.

I’m really surprised.

That’s really good.

We’ll check the back, the power supply.

Now the power supply is pretty damn high.

That’s 260 something, but that’s to be expected.

Check the remote and the foot pad.

They’ve actually done a really good job.

I’m impressed.

I’m very surprised.

Let me take the camera in here so that you guys can see.

I’m really, really surprised.

Most of this stuff is super high EMF.

This is…

Oh, now it’s spiking.

Okay.

They did a little bait and switch on me there.

It must have been throttled when it was just heating up, because now we’ve got seven.

We’ve got two, three.

Huh.

Okay.

Well, I don’t know what’s going on here, but now all of a sudden we’ve got EMF levels and we didn’t when I first started.

Maybe it’s just a sequence that it goes through when it’s heating up.

Obviously at the motor, it’s super, super, super high.

You can see all of them.

But the falloff rate for that should be pretty good.

The only thing that I don’t like is that it’s going to be really close to your body and your head.

Still, this isn’t bad.

This isn’t anything like the 50 milligauss from the other ones.

This is a lot better.

Much, much better.

I wouldn’t consider this low EMF.

Use your own judgment on whether or not you think it’s safe.

I personally probably won’t use it.

It’s just not low enough for me.

I want it to be under 2-3 milligauss if I’m going to use the Sonos for 60+ hours to do a heavy metal detox.

I want to be pretty much within range of next to nothing.

So I probably wouldn’t recommend this, the Duroherm.

But I’ll see you in the next video.

I’m not going to stop reviewing Sonos.
