That’s easy to clarify.
So low body voltage saunas are something that I started in 2019.
Checking body voltage on a sauna, or in a sauna, sorry, is really just making sure that there’s no rogue EMF that has gone unaccounted for.
So one of the ways to do that is to measure body voltage outside of a sauna and then measure body voltage in the sauna and turn it on.
When the body is subjected to certain types of EMF, body voltage goes up.
One way to check for that is to ground yourself out and see if it goes away.
That’s not an advisable thing to do.
I’ve got videos about that.
You shouldn’t wear grounding straps or ground yourself in a high EMF sauna because then you become the conductor.
So that EMF level will go to zero on the body voltage meter, but then it’s flowing through you.
So you don’t want to do that.
And so EMF is electric fields, magnetic fields, RF radiation in a sauna.
And a way to double check for magnetic fields and electric fields being high and you not knowing about it is to double check all that with body voltage.
And so when you check body voltage in a sauna, it should be low relative to the amount of EMF that’s in there.
So I’ll give you an example.
If you were to Google blue wave saunas or radiant sauna, the worst sauna I’ve ever tested, and you watch my video showing the EMF levels in a radiant sauna, a knockoff radiant sauna from Amazon, you would see that it has a hundred milligauss magnetic fields and has completely unmitigated electric fields.
So it has electric fields in it of something like 40, I can’t remember, 40, I don’t want to say 40,000, but I think that’s right.
I think it’s, I’m sorry, has body voltage levels of over 40,000 in it.
And the electric fields are like 1200 volts per meter.
So if you were to measure that sauna with different EMF meters, because EMF can be those three things, it’s usually, and from the emitter itself, let’s just back up a second.
In any sauna, no matter what the brand is, there’s three types of EMF that can be present in any of them.
It doesn’t matter if it’s a sauna that I endorse or that I hate, or anyone else says is good or bad.
This is just the laws of the universe, the laws of physics, laws of nature.
It’s plugging into a wall, it’s got current flowing through it.
You’ve got cabling in the walls, and then you have an external emitter that’s right next to your body.
So you can have magnetic fields from that stuff, from the heating emitters, or the heating elements, the infrared emitters on the wall.
You can have electric fields or increased electric fields from the current or the voltage flowing through cabling in the walls or the power supply under the seat or control panels, sometimes even the lighting.
It just depends on which sauna it is.
And you can have RF radiation present from Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi, marine radios that they like to stick in the ceiling, weird little controllers that are wireless or that connect to stuff.
So that’s the types of EMF that can be present.
Of those, magnetic fields and electric fields can influence body voltage.
So you may have a company that says they have a low EMF sauna, but they’re just showing you magnetic fields, or they’re just saying it’s got low EMF.
The way that you know is if you see them waving around an EMF meter in there and it’s only on one setting and they’re only giving you one level or only giving you levels for one type of EMF, then you know that it’s bullshit because they should be giving you three different levels.
This is the magnetic fields in the sauna.
This is the volts per meter, or this is the milligauss for the magnetic fields.
This is the volts per meter electric field levels.
This is the body voltage level because we checked it.
And this is the RF radiation levels.
So what I did in 2019 when I tightened up the EMF requirements for saunas to pass, to be able to be included on the certified sauna list is this.
You’ve got to have magnetic fields under one milligauss in the seated position in the sauna.
I don’t care if there’s a little bit higher magnetic fields from some front heaters that are 24 inches away or something like that, but in the seated position in the sauna, can’t have levels over one milligauss, period.
It will not be on the certified sauna list.
Electric fields, got to be under 200 volts per meter.
Why?
Because generally 200 volts per meter equates to about 200 millivolts of body voltage.
So if it’s got electric fields in it of 800 to 1200 volts per meter, it’s going to have high body voltage.
So it will not qualify to be on the certified sauna list.
So you’re starting to see the correlation now.
We use body voltage to double check and make sure that there’s low electric fields, low magnetic fields.
And RF radiation, I’m pretty lenient on RF radiation.
I just want to make sure that there are low levels in there and that if there aren’t any huge spikes, like if you’re not going to use it, either A, there’s a way to disable it or it’s not constantly pinging, look to connecting to it.
It’s not constantly pinging very strongly, looking to connect to a device.
Kind of like a home audio Bluetooth speaker or a surround sound wireless system.
If those aren’t actually connected to the little network, they’re constantly pinging.
TVs will do that.
And some of them can be very strong, like almost half the strength of a cell phone.
So if you had that in the ceiling, I just check to make sure that that doesn’t exist.
And so a sauna that had that would never be included on the certified sauna list or you’d have to have a way to turn it off without tearing the sauna apart like some people recommend.
