Radiant Health vs Clearlight vs Heavenly Heat: Which Sauna Should You Buy?

I get asked this constantly: “Which sauna should I buy — Radiant Health, Clearlight, or Heavenly Heat?” These are the top three sauna brands I recommend, but the truth is… the right answer depends on what you need.

In this video, I’ll break down what each brand does well, where they fall short, and who each one is best for. You’ll see real reasons why I’ve trusted Radiant Health for years, why Heavenly Heat is becoming my new #2, and when Clearlight makes sense — even though I don’t always recommend them first.

All right, let’s settle this. I get asked this question every single day. Matt, which sauna should I buy? Radiant Health, Clear Light, Heavenly Heat.

These are your top three. I don’t understand which one is the best for certain needs and why you say another one isn’t great for the rest. The truth is, it depends on what you need. So I’m going to break down all three brands, what I like about each one, where they shine and where they don’t.

This has been my go-to brand for over five years now. I’ve got these in multiple homes and I recommend them more than any other sauna. Why? Because they absolutely nail the fundamentals.

Lowest EMF I’ve ever tested in this price range. No weird smells or VOCs. I’ve even FLIR tested and chemical tested these myself with VOC meters in addition to their third-party reports. And I’ve got to tell you, there’s no other infrared sauna on the market that looks like a Radiant Health sauna on a FLIR gun.

If you look at these images on my screen here, you see how there’s FLIR footage of different saunas and there’s a lot of blue in some of them. If you notice the second column top right-hand picture, that is a Radiant Health sauna. Do you see how there’s no blue in there?

That is what your body is experiencing and almost no other sauna can give you that. And this is top on my list. The heater layout is unmatched. You get full body coverage.

Nothing’s missing under the bench or near your legs. Doesn’t matter if you lay down flat or sit up straight, your body’s getting great heater coverage that’s hard to beat. They’re also easy to assemble, solid build quality, and perfect for anyone who wants a serious detox tool at home without overcomplicating it.

No crazy tech that doesn’t work. No smartphone app, controller, or Wi-Fi module that’s not going to have the right gigahertz Wi-Fi band to connect or give you trouble.

They’re quickly becoming my number two. They didn’t exist. They don’t have as long of a track record as the other earlier saunas that I was using. But man, they’re coming out with great new products.

They’ve got the Heavenly Heat Eco, which is a mini sauna. If you’re living in an apartment, that is the sauna for you. It’s super fast preheat time, built like an absolute tank. Great value for the money because it’s going to last you for years and years and years.

If you’ve got a small space, that’s the one you should get. Like I said, they’re built like tanks and they’re the cleanest saunas on the planet. No glues, no adhesives, no resins, no nothing. Heavenly Heat is like the gold standard.

If you’ve got multiple chemical sensitivities, they use untreated wood, no plywood, no varnish. And as I said, no glues, everything is non-toxic down to the screws. They don’t have quite the same visual polish as like a clear light or radiant health. But if you’re someone who reacts to everything, this is your safe zone.

Also, if you’re looking for a compact unit, the Eco mini sauna is awesome for tight spaces and smaller detox sessions. I can’t say it enough because the performance that you get out of such a little easy to install, easy to place anywhere package in your home is second to none.

It’s a little bit tight for somebody of my size, but the ladies love it. All right, now let’s talk clear light. This is the brand I recommend if you want tech features and more luxury vibes. You get a smartphone control through their app.

Yes, sometimes it doesn’t work right if you don’t have the right wifi band in your house, but you can work that out. You can usually download the Jacuzzi app and it’ll work okay. Optional accessories like red light therapy panels or an additional heater on the door, most other companies just don’t offer things like this or an outdoor sauna model.

Most companies don’t offer an outdoor infrared sauna. Clear light is one of the few. Heavenly heat just released some outdoor sauna models.

as well. So that also might give you another option that would be a great fit for you. All glass fronts in the clear light if you feel claustrophobic. And models that are bigger and wider for people that need more space.

Now I might love a Sana brand, but maybe you just need a particular model or a certain electrical requirement or you need an installation hookup that one brand that I love just doesn’t offer, right? So that wouldn’t be the right fit for you. I like to take everyone’s unique needs into account and go from there.

Now some clear light models aren’t as low EMF as radiant or heavenly heat, depending on the model and the wiring, but they’re still solid compared to the other options you have out there in the market. There’s just no other sauna on the market that is built like that. And they also have outdoor models now in the mini models now, which most companies don’t have. So that gives you another set of options when you have a need that’s difficult to fill. FLIR Lite, best for tech lovers, size options, people that like to accessorize, add things, and all glass front designs.

No matter which one you go with, make sure you’re buying from someone who knows what they’re doing. And that’s why I’ve tested these specific brands. You’ve got salespeople that will say anything to make a sale. Half the time, they don’t know what they’re talking about.

And they never even use the competitor brand they’re doing a comparison for you on. Be careful out there. It’s a jungle. But it doesn’t matter what you like.
